Sally Cataldo's paintings engage one with the tension of opposites, contrasts of dark and light, opaque pigments and light washes, negative spaces and those filled with paint, inviting the viewer to connect with her work, reading between the lines.  She is ever eager to grow and expand her expression. Her goal is to create a simple, poetic, visual language in her art.
