Marvelous Mendocino
This photo was taken on May 17, 2013 from the Mendocino Headlands just north of the Highlight Gallery. On that day I was in Fort Bragg and noticed an absolutely beautiful sky. I decided to head to Mendocino hoping to get a photo of this beautiful village with great light, a striking sky and reflections in the ocean. I was fortunate that I arrived in time as the sky quickly changed after this photo was taken.
Opportunities like this are why I always try to travel with at least one camera and tripod.
This photo is a 1x3, height to width ratio. Typical sizes are 8x24, 10x30 and 15x45. All of my photos are reproduced as dye infused metal prints. I am a nature and wildlife photographer. Since retiring 20 years ago I have been fortunate to enjoy having the ocean as my back yard and enjoy the ever-changing landscape and wildlife. Since I’m here full time I have the opportunity to witness and photograph the best the area has to offer. Sunrises, Sunsets, breaking waves, hummingbirds, osprey and pelicans are some of my specialties. I also have been fortunate to visit other beautiful areas and catch them in their finest hours.
