Jon Sauer turns exotic woods on an antique ornamental lathe made in 1868 by the Holtzapffel family. This one-of-a-kind piece uses kingwood and acetate, with intricate patterns on the kingwood stand and top shaft with a multicolor acetate top body and green acetate at the tip of the top. The stand measures 1.75 inches high by 1.375 inches diameter. The spinning top is approximately 2.5 inches high by 1.625 inches diameter. The top sitting on the stand measures approximately 4 inches high.
